Your Evaluation for Robotic Prostatectomy
What should I bring to my first visit?
Prior to your appointment you will be asked to gather certain medical information pertinent to your general health and any information that you may have related to your prostate cancer diagnosis.

The prostate cancer related medical information we ask you about typically includes:
  • PSA and general blood test results
  • prostate biopsy slides
  • pathology reports
  • imaging results

We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about getting your clinical information together at the time we schedule your evaluation appointment. You may be asked to obtain further testing after your initial visit.

What should I expect during my first visit?

During your initial prostate cancer evaluation visit, you will be examined by Dr. Tewari and members of his clinical team who will also review your clinical records. Your suitability for ART™ robotic prostate surgery will be evaluated and discussed with you. You will have ample opportunity to discuss any concerns and ask any questions you may have.

If you are a suitable prostate cancer surgery candidate and you wish to schedule the surgery you may begin that process right after you have been evaluated. Alternatively, you may wish to take time to consider the decision and contact at a later date to schedule your robotic surgery.

If you decide that ART™ robotic surgery is the right prostate cancer treatment for you, we will e-mail you information that is specially prepared to address many of the questions new patients might have. The e-mail will also include all necessary instructions and other important information related to your robotic prostatectomy. If you prefer, we can provide the information in printed form.

We offer our patients priority e-mail access to our staff. This is the easiest and most efficient way to communicate with us for all non-emergency matters and we are committed to respond to all inquiries submitted through e-mail as soon as possible, certainly by the next business day after we receive the e-mail. Once you are given your appointment we will provide you with access to our password protected email direct link to our clinical staff.

We will attempt to contact you by telephone if we feel that the problem you raised requires immediate response. Of course, you always have the option of calling us directly at the number below.
